A Child’s Prayer for Mom by Paul Drockton is a song of gratitude. I wrote it from the view of a small child. Furthermore, the song expresses every child’s desire to let their mother know how much they love them. When I wrote this song’s lyrics, I could picture a small child praying to God. I felt the inspiration flow easily through me. I know so many mothers sacrifice everything for their children. Opportunity, wealth, health and physical beauty all seem to slip away. All for that one priceless little being. I felt a desire to express how the child, mostly powerless, expressed his gratitude for those sacrifices. And asked God for His help and blessings.Here are the lyrics I wrote and the guitar chords I added to the melody you hear. I play the acoustic guitar you hear in the video, I also sing the vocals. I have even had mothers tell me they play and sing this song with their children.
